Our Quotations

 

At Topworks we endeavor to ensure that our quotation encompasses all costs that are likely to be incurred.  

To this end our customers can be sure of their final expenditure. 

 

Our Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise agreed.

If for any reason you wish to make changes to the original specification, then we will agree price implications before the work starts so that you aware of the costs.

What we won’t do…

We will not add costs that you do not know about.  We will not change the agreed quotation after the work has started unless you make requests to change the specification.

 

Our Commitment to our Customers

How long will the work take?

No two projects are the same and the length of time for the installation depends on an array of factors, such as:-

Payment Terms

 

Once the cost of your project has been agreed you will be asked for a material deposit to confirm your order.  This will allow us to schedule our workshop.  The remainder of the cost is then paid, in stages, throughout the duration of the project. The last stage payment being on the completion of all activitIes.  All stage payments, are agreed with our clients before a material deposit is taken and the work is scheduled.

Warranty

DIRECT GLAZING standard warranty 10 years. 

Our installations come with a  warranty against leaks, material defects and workmanship.

We only use the best possible products and materials available for all our glazing installations. 

Along with our specialist glazing system, our skill, knowledge and experience in glazing oak frames will 

ensure a very long lasting and trouble free glazing installation.

GLAZED UNITS 5 Years 

Manufacturers warranties are minimum 5 years against failed units.

JOINERY 12 months materials and workmanship.

All joinery (opening windows and doors) come to site, unless otherwise specified with a clear base coat ready for staining or painting by others. It may also come with 2 preparatory coats Osmo Uv oil, 2 further coats minimum will be required.

Any further protection against moisture ingress into timber is the responsibility of and at the expense of the Customer. 

All joinery is likely to expand due to moisture level changes. 

Topworks Specifically Does Not allow for return visits to site for the adjustment or planing of doors and opening window frames as timber is likely to expand due to factors beyond our control such as moisture from new plaster work, new concrete slab etc.

Adjustments to doors and windows can easily be done by a qualified joiner local to the customer at minimal expense to the customer.

All joinery supplied will be  fitted with our standard ironmongery unless otherwise agreed.

COMPLIANCE WITH LAW AND REGULATIONS 

It shall be the sole responsibility of the Customer to comply in every aspect with all relevant Planning and Building Regulations 

requirements, statues, order in council, regulations, by-laws or other lawful requirements and to obtain all necessary consents, licenses, 

permits or authorities which may be required in connection with any work to be performed pursuant to the Contract notwithstanding that 

Topworks may provide assistance in this respect. 

 

Site Provisions

It is the clients responsibility to supply access scaffold for the installation if applicable. 

This may take the form of a ring scaffold and or towers and staging, Cost associated with this remain the clients responsibility.

All access equipment must conform to current safety requirements. We also assume the supply of water and electricity and toilet facilities.

Provision must be made by either the client or the client’s builder for Topworks waste by form of skip. 

We also require an indoor area to be clear and free to work in as we need to set up a small workshop area in the room to be glazed.

Clear and uninterrupted access to this area and the area to be glazed is required whilst we are onsite, any delays are charged @ £35 per man per hour.

 

General 

 All tenders /quotations issued by Topworks  shall be valid for a period of 30 days from the date thereof or such longer period as may be agreed between the parties in writing. 

The Contract Price is based upon uninterrupted access to the Customer’s premises until completion of the Services and Topworks

reserves the right to increase the Contract Price in circumstances where uninterrupted access is not provided. 

Topworks will use its best commercial endeavours to deliver the goods and, where appropriate, to complete the Services at the 

rate and within the time estimated in the Specification but Topworks shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever 

suffered by the Customer as a result of any failure by Topworks, for whatsoever reason, to deliver the Goods or to complete the 

Services within the time so specified. Unless specifically agreed in writing between Topworks and the Customer.

Time of delivery of the Goods or completion of the Services shall not be of the essence of the Contract. 

Topworks will not be liable to the Customer for any delays in the provision of, or failure to provide the Goods or Services where such delays or failure arise from matters which are beyond the reasonable control of Topworks.
